Maximize participation by asking your question before Cold Calling a student to answer
When Cold Calling, it matters when you choose to say the student’s name. For example, saying, "Sonoa, what's an inference?" will have a different impact on the amount of thinking students do than will "What's an inference... Sonoa?" We call the latter format, where you ask the question, pause, then call on a student, Time the Name. Learn more about Time the Name in this training.
